It is an infectious disease caused by the dengue virus, which is mainly found in the tropical regions and mosquito borne. It can be a serious infection, especially among children which means about two fifths of the world’s population is at risk. Dengue fevers are spread from human to human by the bite of mosquitoes carrying the dengue virus. The platelet level goes down severely in this fever, which may lead to excessive internal bleeding that could be fatal. Due to low platelet count, dengue’s dreaded complication is profuse bleeding (hemorrhage). However, a few natural remedies are helpful in improving the platelet count. Though this is not a foolproof method, it can help in some cases and does no harm to the patient in any way.

Some other effective ways to cure dengue and high fever
Neem leaves juice – To increase the white blood cells and blood platelet count in the body with the juice of neem leaves. So a person infected with dengue virus should take it twice a day. It also boosts the immunity level of the body.
Guava juice – To fight the disease, guava juice mixed with little honey has shown good results. It tastes too good and will soothe the taste buds of the patient with its sweetness. Drink it at least once in a day for fast recovery.
Gooseberry juice – There are a rich source of vitamin C in Gooseberries. It is very helpful to cure dengue fever with the consumption of this juice daily.
Basil leaves – It improves the immunity of the patient. Chewing the basil leaves or drinking their tea has a significant healing effect on dengue patient.
Barley grass juice – It will help fight the side effects of the disease. Drink barley grass juice to see rapid increase in platelet count.
Onion salad – Serve onion salad soaked in vinegar for few hours with every meal to the patient. Onions dipped in vinegar are effective to cure dengue after effects.
Carrot, cucumber and lemon juice – It will help to boost the immune system and fight with the after effects of the disease. Serve the dengue patient with the juice of these three veggies.
Pomegranate juice – It has strong anti-oxidants which can increase the platelet level. Drink this juice twice or thrice a day and feel better day by day. This juice can help to produce lymphocytes and strengthen the immune system of the body.
Papaya leaves juice – The juice of fresh papaya leaves is also effective to fight dengue virus. Never boil or cook the leaves to get the juice. Otherwise all the dengue fighting ingredients will get destroyed.
Goat milk – It is one of the richest sources of Selenium as compared to milk of cow and sheep. The deficiency of Selenium mineral and decrease in platelet count are the main complication of dengue. It is also found to help with the digestive and metabolic utilization of various minerals which are good to fight dengue virus.
